Baby Alex doing great!

I got a chance to see Alex in the PICU on Saturday and was able to visit with Dana (Alex's mom) again this morning. Alex is doing FANTASTIC! He is four days post-surgery and already has the ventilator, all three chest tubes, pacer wires, and arterial line removed. He is on a bit of oxygen through a nasal cannula and has a small amount of fluid on his lungs, but overall he is moving through his recovery like a champ. Keep it up, Alex!

    Thank you so much for visiting our blog and leaving a comment! Reading through your last few posts, you are so right. It sounds like Luke and Elijah are going through the exact same things right now. And us mommies, too. Discipline is HARD. I had no idea and my head spins sometimes as I think, WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Why is he freaking out for no reason? We, too, do the walk away and ignore the behavior. It certainly doesn't seem to do much, but we must persevere and be consistent with it. I'm so glad to know that we are not the only ones dealing with this right now. It's good to know we can lean on each other for support! Anyway, I'm going to check out the rest of your blog later tonight. Luke is a cutie! I can't wait to read about him. Have a great day..xoxoxox
