On my reading list

I'm sure many of you are wondering what's on my reading list this spring. I'm sure of it. You're wondering, did she just pick up "ALWAYS LOOKING UP", by Michael J. Fox? Or the latest in the Twilight series? Or maybe "THE READER", by Bernhard Schlink?

Guess again. Guess bigger, better, more engaging and even more thought-provoking...

Here is what I picked up at Borders last week:

Oh dear, wish us luck.

  1. HA HA! I was scared to death to potty train Kamryn... the she just went on her own. Then I nannyed for a while for a little boys... HA.. not as easy! :)

We eventually got both of them out of diapers and into big boy pants. I set the timer every 15 minutes and when it beeped, we'd go in the potty and try. If they went, they'd get an M&M or Jellybean. Accidents weren't punished, but I had them help clean it up a little. Persistence pays off and MAKE IT FUN!!!!

  2. Good luck! You can be our guinea pig and give us tips when you're done. :) I just dread the potty training...

  3. You're funny, Jes! Hey, maybe he'll be just like you. At 2 years old you said, "Mommy, I want to go in the potty like Jenny." And then you were potty trained.

  4. Oh, Jesse, I am in that same boat with you! We have been trying to get Zach interested in using the potty. We have the Elmo potty seat and the padded seat to go on the big potty. We have a cute little basket of books that are for potty time only. We have the m&ms for rewards (1 for trying and 5 for going). Has it worked? Not so much.
Let me know if the book helps. We might need it.
